Radiographic Testing / Material Analyzer – or XRF Inspection
Radiographic Testing (RT) Inspection Services
Radiographic Testing (RT) is a popular nondestructive testing (NDT) inspection technique, because of its versatility in detecting a wide range of defects on multiple materials, and its ability to produce a permanent record of each inspection.
Our staff of certified, Industrial radiographers operate within strict safety parameters. We produce high-quality radiographs that allow us to utilize our interpretation skills honed through over 100 years of experience to determine if an anomaly is actually a defect, or if it can be accepted per code requirements.
Gamma ray Inspection
Gamma ray inspection utilizes electromagnetic radiation from high-energy gamma rays to penetrate material and manufactured components that are too dense for x-rays. This testing technique is often used to test welds on pipelines and pressurized pipes. Inspec Testing performs on-site Gamma Ray Radiation inspections; our IRRSP certified inspectors create their own boundaries on-site to secure the safety of everyone around. Results of our inspection are instant with our state-of-the-art mobile dark room.
X-ray Inspection
X-rays are produced by electron energy transitions, typically inner orbital transitions, whereas gamma rays are produced by electromagnetic transitions in the nucleus. Typically, benefits of X-Ray over Gamma are shorter shot times and safety due to the X-Ray machine having an on and off button whereas Gamma is a live isotope.
Computed Radiography (CR) Inspection
Computed radiography (CR) NDT uses a filmless process to create digital, 2-dimensional radiographs. Digital radiography NDT provides radiographic images from a computer using the same conventional radiography exposure equipment.
